Tailstock Die Holder

Ideal for short run threading of shafts etc. these holders are a quick and convenient solution on lathes, milling machines and tapping machines.

Manufactured from one solid piece of steel, the holders have a black oxide finish.

The main body has a counterbored recess behind the die to catch the chips and the shank is bored through for longer threads.

To use in the lathe, rotate the part slowly in the headstock whilst feeding the (loose) tailstock by hand along the bed. Stop where required and reverse the die off the thread. If threading up to a shoulder under power, stop before the shoulder and finish the thread by hand.
