R8 - Morse Taper Adaptor & Sleeve

Our R8 to Morse Taper Adaptors allow you to use smaller taper tools in machines designed for larger tapers. Available in two types for different applications:

Open for Drawbar Use (for tools with a drawbar thread):

These converters are for use with Morse Taper tools with a drawbar thread (e.g. M10, M12 or 3/8" Whit). They are NOT suitable for use with Tang type equipment.

The converter itself has a 7/16" UNF drawbar thread which is not normally required and must be bored out clear M12 drawbars. M10 and 3/8" Whit. drawbars will pass through the adaptor without modification.

For Tang Tooling:

This adaptor has a 7/16" UNF drawbar thread and is designed for use with Morse Taper tools with a tang.
