Universal Boring and Facing Heads have a built-in auto-feed mechanism making them a very versatile accessory for the mill.

A universal boring and facing head will carry out the same boring operations as a standard, manually adjusted boring head, but the auto-feed can be set to automatically advance the boring tool laterally by a set amount upon each revolution of the spindle making it capable of the following operations:

Boring
Top Facing
Bottom Facing
Recessing
Bore and Face
Outside Turning
